This student-run event gives NWP’s future business leaders an opportunity to learn from local captains of industry and network with professionals and potential employers. The Conference also allows businesses to connect with emerging talent, share knowledge, and build relationships that bridge the gap between education and industry.

With a keynote speaker, catered lunch, and engaging breakout sessions, this networking event aims to provide practical knowledge, industry insights, and valuable contacts to help students start their careers.

This year’s Conference theme is “From Passion to Impact: Turning Ideas into Opportunities.” It focuses on how students can turn creativity and ideas into real careers and business opportunities. It encourages participants to consider how small ideas can grow into successful projects, careers, or businesses with the right skills, mindset, and connections.

The keynote speaker this year is Fred Dodd, who runs several McDonald’s franchise locations. He will share his real-world experience with leadership, business growth, and the importance of challenging work and customer service. His story will help students see how passion, dedication, and strong decision-making can lead to long-term success in business.

Attendees will gain insight into important business topics through breakout sessions led by industry professionals, including Chris Cann of Tycann, Raphael Bergmann of Champion Gym, Holly Sorgen from Community Futures, Morgan Lock of Cedar Accounting, artist and entrepreneur Grant Berg of Grant Berg Gallery, Bobbi Jo Matheson of Cree8ive Ink, Mariah Braun of M3M Marketing, Loretta Coates of MNP, Jessica Schoepp of 92 Bev Co., and Sarah Card of Bear Creek Folk Fest.
